Disney has announced a new deal with IMAX that will see several of their upcoming films released at IMAX theatres.
Forthcoming blockbusters Star Wars: Episode VII, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Avengers: Age of Ultron will be among the early movies to be given the IMAX treatment.
“Disney has enjoyed a terrific ongoing collaboration with IMAX, and we are thrilled to extend this relationship with a collection of exciting, highly-anticipated cinematic events that are perfect for the immersive IMAX format,” said Walt Disney Studios President Alan Bergman.
Star Trek and Mission: Impossible III director J.J. Abrams will call the shots on the seventh instalment of the Star Wars series, which is due to be in cinemas by December, 2015.
Marvel's Captain America: The Winter Soldier will be released on March 28.
