Invasion Dublin, Ireland's biggest Star Wars fan event, returns to the capital this May Bank Holiday weekend with a three-day love-in at the RDS.
Taking place in the Emerald Garrison and featuring life-sized replica props and sets from the original and second (lesser) Star Wars trilogies, the event has won praise from cast members including David Prowse (Darth Vader) and Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett).
The weekend took place in Belfast two weeks ago and this year's Dublin show will feature Q & A sessions and meet and greets with actors from the original films and "Force Training" for the kids.
Among this year's guests is Star Wars comic book artist Will Sliney from Ballycotten, Cork who also worked on the 3D versions of the original trilogy and has since gone to work for Marvel.
Invasion Dublin takes place from May 3 to 5 from 10am-5pm daily at the RDS, Ballsbridge, Dublin. This year the event is supporting Irish Autism Action and admission is €15, €10 for Under 12s, and €38 for a Family ticket (two adults two children) €38. Under 4s can attend for free - The Force is strong in these young Padwans.
