American Horror Story's fourth season will be set in a spooky carnival, it has been confirmed.
The FX anthology series, created by Ryan Murphy, has seen previous seasons set in a haunted house, an insane asylum and most recently a witches finishing school for season three's Coven.
Writer Douglas Petrie has revealed that the show's fourth season will revolve around a carnival theme, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
When asked at the Nerdest Writers panel podcast if the upcoming season's storyline would focus on a carnival concept, he confirmed, saying: "Yes. It doesn't have a title, but that's the idea. Very roughly, that's the idea."
Showrunner Murphy previously announced that season four would take place in the 1950s. It will mark Jessica Lange final run on the horror series.
