Oscar-winning actor, Kevin Spacey who has won acclaim as Frank Underwood in political drama House of Cards, is tipped to attend this year's Irish Film and Television Awards in April.
Rumours of Spacey, a regular visitor to Ireland, attending the night began when co-host Simon Delaney let it slip during a recent interview that one of the stars in the famous Oscars selfie will be coming over.
Spacey has been living in London for the past 11 years and makes frequent visits Dublin and previously attended the Jameson Dublin Film Festival for a special screening of The Usual Suspects, for which won a Best Supporting Actor Oscar.
Also on the guest list for the April 5 ceremony in Dublin are Michael Fassbender and The Fall star Jamie Dornan, who are both up for awards.
RTÉ's Love/Hate has been nominated for eight accolades awards and Oscar-nominee Saoirse Ronan has received her ninth IFTA nomination, for her role in Neil Jordan's vampire movie Byzantium.
