During her interview on RTÉ One's The Saturday Night Show, Coronation Street star Beverley Callard promised that there are some exciting times ahead for her on-screen character, Liz McDonald.
Callard, who returned to Coronation Street in October 2013 as the latest landlady of The Rovers, insisted that life on the cobbles is soon to become "really busy" for the McDonalds.
The 56-year-old actress, who has previously spoken about her battle with depression, also said it's "great fun" being back on the soap.
Callard told host Brendan O'Connor: "I left a couple of years ago because I needed to get totally well. Let's not go into morbid things all the time, but I had been quite poorly and I needed to get really well."
When asked if there are any big stories coming up for Liz, Callard replied: "There's more and more coming up. I've had quite a gentle ease into it, which has been very good and they've been quite kind to me. In a couple of months' time we [the McDonalds] start to get really busy."

Callard also told O'Connor that she missed her on-screen ex-husband Jim McDonald (Charles Lawson), who was last seen on the soap in 2009.
She said of Lawson: "I hope he returns. I saw him just a couple of months ago. Obviously, we're great friends. We hit it off straight away. Charlie has such a direct manner but he's the most brilliant actor. He also has the biggest heart. He's the most fantastic person."
However, Callard denied ever being romantically involved with Lawson, stating: "No, there was never any romance whatsoever."
