Ardal O'Hanlon and Cork actress Sarah Greene are among the nominees for this year's Olivier Awards in London, with the musical Once and Conor McPherson's new play The Night Alive also shortlisted.
O'Hanlon is nominated in the Best Supporting Actor category for his performance in The Weir at the Donmar Warehouse and Wyndham's Theatre, while Greene is a Best Supporting Actress nominee for her performance in The Cripple of Inishmaan at the Noël Coward Theatre.
Once at the Phoenix Theatre is nominated for six awards: Best New Musical, Best Actress in a Musical (Zrinka Cvitešic), Best Theatre Choreographer (Steven Hoggett), Outstanding Achievement in Music (Martin Lowe for composition and arrangements; Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová for music and lyrics), Sound Design (Clive Goodwin) and Set Design (Bob Crowley).
McPherson's The Night Alive at the Donmar Warehouse is nominated in the Best New Play category.
The winners will be announced on Sunday April 13.
