The Walshes, 10.15pm, RTÉ One **New Series**
The brand new comedy series by Father Ted and The IT Crowd Irish writer Graham Linehan kicks off tonight on RTÉ One. The much-anticipated comedy drama follows west Dublin family, The Walshes. There’s Tony the dad, played by Niall Gaffney, his wife Carmel (Philippa Dunne) and their two grown up children Ciara (Amy Stephenson) and Rory (Rory Connolly) who both live at home. Tonight Ciara takes the brave step to bring her new boyfriend home to meet her family, hoping and praying that they won’t embarrass her too much. Rory has a secret that he’s desperate to keep and Owen Roe plays a family friend who doesn't seem to ever leave.
ICA Bootcamp, 7.30pm, RTÉ Two
Bootcamps are taking place the length and breadth of the country, in a bid to get people fit and toned in a fun, challenging yet different way. The ICA Bootcamp couldn’t be any more different, yes it’s also challenging and very different and at times, a lot of fun but the goals differ greatly. Finalists Anita O'Brien, Rachel Wallace and Alisun Fox return to the ICA training headquarters at An Grianan, Termonfeckin. Their special mentors will teach them a variety of tasks including sheep-grooming, creating vegetable displays and giving an old-fashioned beauty treatment. Then need to perfect their skills too before the National President and 100 guild members of the ICA cast their votes to crown the champion.
