Ghostbusters 3 will continue as planned despite the recent death of star and writer Harold Ramis.
The script for the film will be reworked after Ramis passed away this week at the age of 69. He was due to reprise his role as Dr Egon Spengler.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ghostbusters 3 director Ivan Reitman is scheduled to meet with Sony bosses about the future of the sequel.
Ramis was said to only have a small role in the film, which will apparently centre around a new team of Ghostbusters.
Former Ghostbuster Dan Aykroyd remains attached to another project while the other, Bill Murray, was never linked with the film.
Ramis held a stake in the franchise's third film alongside Reitman, Aykroyd and Murray. This stake will pass to his estate.
