Despite the fact that Shrek Forever After was thought to be the last film in the franchise, it looks like Shrek 5 will go ahead after all.
Not only that but a Shrek theme park is apparently due to be built in London with Merlin Entertainment.
DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg told Fox Business Network (via Variety): "We like to let them [the 'Shrek' movies] have a little bit of time to rest.
"But I think you can be confident that we’ll have another chapter in the Shrek series. We’re not finished, and more importantly, neither is he."
To date the franchise has made over $2.9billion and now the next step will be the theme park, namely Shrek's Far Far Away Adventure which will be ready by 2015.
