House star Lisa Edelstein is to lead the cast of a new US TV drama for cable channel Bravo.
Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce will also star Janeane Garofalo (The Larry Sanders Show) and is produced and written by Buffy the Vampire Slayer's Marti Noxon.
The show has been picked up for 13 episodes by cable channel Bravo in its first-ever original scripted drama commission.
"Girlfriends' Guide To Divorce offers a fresh take on women tackling life after divorce with the help of their girlfriends," said Bravo's Andrew Wang.
"For our first scripted show, we wanted something that was sophisticated, funny and honest. We're thrilled to have the talented Marti Noxon breaking this new ground with Bravo."
Based on the best-selling Girlfriends' Guide book series by Vicki Lovine, the series will focus on Abby (Edelstein), a self-help book author who hides the fact that she's separated from her husband.
Garofalo plays Abby's divorcee friend Lyla, while former Private Practice star Paul Adelstein and Star Wars legend Carrie Fisher will also appear in the pilot episode.
