Actress Mary McEvoy, famous for playing Biddy on RTÉ's long-running rural soap Glenroe, met Colin Farrell recently to talk about his new film and it turns out he's a major fan of her work.
Mary was in London to talk to Farrell (aka The Farreller) and his co-star Jessica Brown Finlay about A New York's Winter's Tale for RTÉ's Today show and they seemed to have built up quite a mutual appreciation society.
In a tough line of questioning, Mary quizzed the pair on metaphysics and the transcendental nature of love. "I grew up watching Mary on television every day of the week," Colin tells Jessica, to which Mary replies, "Thanks, now I feel about 103."
