The Voice of Ireland - Competition hotting up

The Battle rounds began on The Voice of Ireland on RTÉ One on Sunday evening, with six contestants making it through to the next stage of the competition.

The six singers chosen were: Gavin Murray (Dublin - Team Jamelia), John Hogan Junior (Galway - Team Dolores), Martin McInerney (Cork - Team Jamelia), Kedar Friis Lawerence (Donegal - Team Bressie), Jay Boland (Athlone - Team Kian) and Aisling Connolly (Dublin - now on Team Jamelia).

Despite losing out to Boland in coach Egan's Battle, Connolly was saved from elimination by Jamelia, who used her 'Steal' option to put the singer on her own team.
