Winner of the BAFTA Lead Actress award, Cate Blanchett dedicated her award to Philip Seymour Hoffman on Sunday night.

Accepting the award Blanchett said: "Your monumental talent, your generosity and your unflinching quest for the truth both in life and in art, will be missed by so many people, not only in this room and the industry but the audiences who loved you so dearly.

"You raised the bar, continually, so very very high and all we can do in your absence is try to raise it, continually through our work.

"So Phil, buddy, you b******, this is for you. I hope you're proud."
