Juliette Lewis has been cast in a new drama pilot series for ABC.
The actress is set to play a detective in an adaptation of the Australian series Secrets & Lies.
She joins Ryan Phillipe on the drama, who will play a father that becomes the prime suspect in a murder case after he finds the body of a young boy.
The original Austrial series can be seen on RTÉ Two on Sunday nights from March 30th.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lewis's character Andrea Cornell is unflappable, professional and hard to read, as well as, at times, unintentionally odd.
Charles McDougall (Desperate Housewives) is set to direct the pilot episode while former Private Practice executive producer Barbie Kligman will write and produce the new series.
ABC has made a 10-episode commitment to the project.
