Coronation Street actress Lisa George, who plays Beth Tinker has said that she is very happy on the soap and that she hopes "to stay as long as" possible.
"I work with some wonderful, creative, talented people," the actress told Grimsby Telegraph adding, "and it is such a privilege to be in this position and to bring their work to life.
"The actors are such great fun to work with - we always manage to have a laugh as well as work very hard.
"I hope to stay as long as they will have me really. However, I would like to do more singing, as I miss that quite a bit."
Speaking about the soaps recent wins at the National Television Awards, where Corrie won both Best Serial Drama for the second year in a row and Best Serial Drama Performance for Julie Hesmondhalgh's performance as Hayley Cropper, she said: "I am really proud to work on the show and I think both awards were really well deserved.
"The atmosphere was absolutely electric in the arena. It was my first time at the O2 and I was very impressed.
"I couldn't get my head around the volume of people in there. It was quite a buzz.
"All the cast were ecstatic at the awards. Both Julie and David Nielson, who plays Roy Cropper, have worked beautifully together with the storyline and I wanted them both to win, as they were equal winners in my eyes."
