Kristen Bell has hit out at the paparazzi for taking invasive pictures of the children of celebrities.

The Veronica Mars actress used her Twitter account to vent frustration at the press making money off of children, and took a particular pop at People magazine.

"dear @peoplemag -scaring & harassing kids isn't 'entertainment news'. pls agree to stop using #pedorazzi shots. #nokidspolicy RT IF U AGREE,[sic]" Bell wrote.

The star went on to express her horror at the press for following Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise's daughter Suri, and linked to a video of one frightening encounter involving the young girl.

Bell also sent a message to those Twitter followers who might have been "annoyed" by her stance.

"i apologise 2 those who must be annoyed all my tweets relate to the #pedorazzi. i feel strongly on this issue & really want to see change,[sic]" she tweeted.

The actress and Parenthood star Dax Shepard are parents to a newborn daughter named Lincoln, who was born last March.
