Former Friends’ star David Schwimmer is planning a TV comeback in a new comedy pilot for US network ABC called Irreversible

The project, which is based on an Israeli hit show called Bilti Hafich (which means 'irreversible' in Hebrew), will find Schwimmer playing one half of an eccentric, self-absorbed couple.

Segahl Avin, who co-created the Israeli version, is also involved in Irreversible. He penned the script and will serve as an executive producer alongside Rescue Me‘s Peter Tolan.

If the pilot for Irreversible is a success and gains series pick-up, it will mark Schwimmer’s first full-time gig since completing his decade-long run as Ross Geller on Friends back in 2004.
