Sienna Miller has denied having a full-blown affair with Daniel Craig when she was dating Jude Law, saying that her romantic involvement with the Bond star was only a “brief encounter”.
Speaking via video satellite link from New Orleans at the ongoing UK phone-hacking trial, she told the court that she could understand how a hacked voicemail message could "easily inspire a story" of an affair.
According to the BBC, the original message was reportedly: "Hi, it's me. I can't speak, I'm at the Groucho with Jude. I love you."
Miller added that she understood how saying ‘I love you’ at the end of the message was interpreted as being an "important declaration of love", however this was how she always ended messages to close friends and family.
Miller was asked to speak in court after a former News of the World reporter, Dan Evans, had said that a message from Miller on Craig's phone had sparked stories of an alleged affair.
