Guy Ritchie could be bringing King Arthur to the big screen

Guy Ritchie is in talks with Warner Bros to sign a six-film King Arthur deal.

The Sherlock Holmes director is considering teaming with Warner Bros in the latest attempt to revive the story of the mythical king on the big screen.

According to deadline.com the series will be based on the eight books of Thomas Mallory's 15th century classic Le Morte d'Arthur.

This is not the first time Warner Bros has attempted to make on movie based on the legend, their most recent effort was based on David Dobkin's Arthur & Lancelot, which Colin Farrell was tipped to star in but was cancelled over budgetary concerns.

Ritchie has most recently been working on a remake of The Man from UNCLE, which will star Henry Cavill, Armie Hammer, Alicia Vikander and Hugh Grant.
