Aaron Paul has been in talks to star in Ron Howard's Dark Tower project.
The Breaking Bad star has met with the filmmakers to discuss the role of Eddie Dean in the upcoming Stephen King adaptation.
Paul told Ain't it Cool: "I've had a ton of meetings on that.
"I just had a general sit down with Ron Howard, who is a huge fan of [Breaking Bad], which is such a crazy thing to even think that Ron Howard even knows who I am.
"They're definitely planning on making it. I'm excited. Their goal is to do three films, but also have a television element to it, which will be very interesting. From what I hear, Eddie Dean is a pretty epic, iconic character."
Dark Tower sees Eddie Dean, a drug addict and dealer from New York, drawn into the dark and fantastic Mid-World by the last Gunslinger, Roland Deschain.
The project has been in the works for several years, with plans for linked films and a television series.
Paul can next be seen in the Need for Speed film adaptation.
