Natalie Dormer has undergone an edgy transformation for her role in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay.
The actress has shaved half of her head to play Capitol film director Cressida in the sequel, and debuted her now look at the Screen Actors Guild Awards at the weekend.
In the Mockingjay novel by Suzanne Collins, Cressida is described as having "a shaved head tattooed with green vines".
Dormer explained to EW that she will go "halfway" to create the look for her character.
The Game of Thrones star said: "Francis Lawrence, the director of Mockingjay, and I discussed it and I took the job on the premise that I would possibly [have to] shave my whole head.
"I'm actually really pleased that we went halfway because I think it's more the Capitol... and that's where Cressida comes from. She comes from the Capitol, so she's got a stylised thing going on and now she's turned rebel. I think it's right for the character."
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 will open on November 21 this year, with Part 2 scheduled to be released on November 20, 2015.
Dormer is best known for playing Margaery Tyrell in HBO's Game of Thrones.
