Miley Cyrus is gearing up for an MTV return but not in the style of her infamous Video Music Awards performance but for MTV Unplugged.
The show was made famous by a number of outstanding stripped back musical performances from bands such as Nirvana, R.E.M., Florence + the Machine and Adele and now Cyrus is taking to the stage on Wednesday, January 29.
Cyrus will sing acoustic versions of hits from her Bangerz tour, which kicks off on Valentine's Day, February 14 and will include a number of surprise guests.
Speaking about the event, MTV's Amy Doyle said: "The Unplugged stage has been home to some of the most iconic live performances of all time.
"Miley’s vision for the performance is like nothing we’ve ever seen. I can say that this will easily be one of the most memorable Unplugged performances to date."
