First Cut is the Deepest singer Sheryl Crow says being a mother to Wyatt, six, and Levi, three, is the ''biggest thing'' in her life.
The 51-year-old star admits being a working mother is ''hard'' and she will have to stop taking her kids on the road now her eldest child is starting school.
Speaking to Classic Rock magazine, Sheryl said: ''It's the biggest thing [being a mother]. It has put everything else into perspective.
''This year has been a lot of hard work and I've driven my kids all over the place.
''But as my six year old enters first grade, all of that will be a thing of the past.''
She added: ''My kids are at a great age, and they're so malleable and like being on a tour bus and sleeping in their bunks.
''It has made it a lot more fun for me, because it's hard being on the road away from the people that you love.
''So being able to bring them with me has made it so much more worthwhile.''
