Morrissey has signed a new two-album deal and will begin recording his first full-length album since 2009's Years of Refusal next month.

The new album for Harvest Records and Capitol Music will be produced by Joe Chiccarelli, who has previously worked with Alanis Morissette and The Strokes, and will feature the same backing band that appeared on Years of Refusal.

Moz recently revealed that he was also working on a novel following the huge commercial, if not critical, success of his autobiography.

"In 2013 I published my Autobiography and it has been more successful than any record I have ever released," he posted on Morrissey site True to You. "So, yes, I am midway through my novel. I have my hopes."

Morrissey releases a deluxe reissue of his 1992 album, Your Arsenal, on February 25.
