Harvey Weinstein has revealed that Anne Hathaway and Mark Wahlberg were originally cast to star in Silver Linings Playbook.
Speaking to radio host Howard Stern the film's producer Weinstein said, "Silver Linings Playbook was originally going to be with Anne Hathaway and Mark Wahlberg... and then Anne wasn't doing it. And she's marvellous and wonderful and she was my choice, I love her.
"We had Annie and then we had Mark... then whatever happened, happened. David [O. Russell, the film's director] had some creative differences. They didn't see eye-to-eye."
The film went on to star Jennifer Lawrence, who won an Oscar for her part in the film, and Bradley Cooper, who was nominated for an Oscar for his role.
Weinstein continued, "Then Jennifer Lawrence and two of three other actresses came in, and the minute we saw Jennifer Lawrence's tape... I said, 'How the hell are we gonna replace Annie?' And then this amazing creature walked in."
