The surviving half of The Beatles, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, are set to perform at this year's Grammy Awards.

The Fab Four are this year's recipients of the Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award and the duo are set to take to the stage to mark the event.

McCartney is also nominated for Best Rock Song at the ceremony for his collaboration with former Nirvana members Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic, Cut Me Some Slack.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, John Legend, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban and Kacey Musgraves will also perform on the night joining an already star-studded line-up of Katy Perry, Lorde, Metallica and Robin Thicke.

The 56th annual Grammy Awards take place in Los Angeles on January 26.
