Dolores O'Riordan and Jamelia traded barbs as they both tried to win over a contestant as the Blind Auditions continued on The Voice of Ireland on RTÉ One on Sunday night.

Both coaches turned in their chairs for Mariah Butler's performance of Before He Cheats, with Dolores seizing on Jamelia's admission that she was "not familiar with county music".

"You can teach me something and I can teach you something," said Jamelia in her pitch.

Dolores then said that there was "a contradiction in that", adding: "You just said that she would have to teach you. That sounds a little scary."

"You should never be afraid of learning," said Jamelia.

"But if you don't know about country..." replied Dolores.

When fellow coach Kian Egan suggested that both women should explain why the contestant should choose them, Dolores and Jamelia continued their sniping.

Eventually, Butler chose Team Dolores, despite having earlier told her friend she would like to be on Team Jamelia.

On Sunday night's show Pauric McLaughlin also joined Team Dolores, with Kelly Hannon joining Team Jamelia.

Jamie Hartigan and Dagan Vickers joined Team Kian.

RTÉ 2fm wild card entrant Ciara Donnelly joined Team Bressie and, after a cheeky coin flip, Kedar Friis-Lawrence also joined Team Bressie over Team Jamelia.
