A new series, Ireland’s Fittest Family begins at 7.30pm on RTÉ One, with the subjects monitored and trained by four celebrity coaches, Eddie O'Sullivan, Davy Fitzgerald, Kenneth Egan and Nikki Symmons. The Voice (Blind Auditions) returns to BBC One with Kylie on board as a judge; on ITV, Jonathan Ross is joined by Karren Brady, Torvill and Dean, Griff Rhys Jones, Aaron Eckhart, and Dublin's pop smoothies, Kodaline.

After rigorous physical and scientific testing, twelve families have qualified to embark on some extreme fitness manouevres. Over six weeks, these families will compete on a series of tough endurance courses. After each event the weakest family will be eliminated, until eventually there is a winning family, who will receive a €15,000 cash prize. Each of the four celebrity coaches - Eddie O'Sullivan, Davy Fitzgerald, Kenneth Egan, Nikki Symmons - is assigned four families. Tonight the arduous stuff takes place in an urban adventure course in Dublin’s Docklands. Mairéad Farrell (pictured below) introduces the gruelling thrills and spills.

The Voice UK is back for a third series, as pop icon Kylie Minogue and Kaiser Chiefs front-man Ricky Wilson join Sir Tom Jones and will.i.am in the search for the UK’s next vocal sensation. New presenters, Emma Willis and former JLS-er Marvin Humes will offer moral support to the acts throughout the Blind Auditions.

The Jonathan Ross Show, 9.45pm UTV

Jonathan is joined by football supremo Karren Brady, dancers Torvill & Dean, comedian Griff Rhys Jones, Hollywood actor Aaron Eckhart, and music comes from Dublin's finest Kodaline (pictured). Karren Brady’s story is quite extraordinary and she should be interesting. Having begun her career at Saatchi & Saatchi when she was 18, she made startlingly speedy progress. She became Managing Director of Birmingham City Football Club from 1993 to 2009. In 1996 the Club made an overall profit for the first time in modern history. In October 2009 her business was valued at over £82million. What did she do? she sold it. Brady was recently honoured with a CBE.
