Soul legend Aretha Franklin says she is planning a covers album which may include her own take on Destiny's Child's hit Bootylicious.

She has also hinted at versions of Barbra Streisand's People and Donna Summer's 1978 disco hit Last Dance on a collection of songs recorded by other famous divas.

Speaking to US music industry bible Billboard, she said: "It's a concept CD. They're records that, musically, I respected and that I liked a lot and that I would love to have one go-'round with. [They were all] things that were very, very good and certainly chart-worthy and sold a lot of records."

The 71-year-old who scored massive hits with Respect and I Say a Little Prayer in the sixties and a No 1 duet with George Michael, I Knew You Were Waiting For Me, in 1987, will work with production team: Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, Don Was, and executive producer Clive Davis in what will be her first album in a decade.
