It has been announced that Pilgrim Hill director Gerard Barrett has signed up Jack Reynor and Toni Collette for his second feature film.
Grassland starts shooting in Dublin January 8th and will see Reynor on set fresh from working with Michael Bay on Transformers: Age of Extinction opposite Mark Wahlberg.
Joining Reynor and Australian actress Collette will be rising British star Will Poulter who was most recently seen in We’re The Millers as well as Kill List’s Michael Smiley.
The story is set in Dublin and tells the tale of a young taxi driver played by Reynor who gets tangled up in the world of human trafficking while trying to save his mother (Collette) from addiction.
The film has also been written by Barrett and will be produced by Ed Guiney for Element Pictures in association with Nine Entertainment.
