Former Seinfeld actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus has said that she is “out of [her] mind with happiness” following her two Golden Globe nominations.
The actress was nominated for her brilliant, leading role in Veep for Best Actress in a Television Series (Comedy) and was also nominated this week for Best Actress in a Motion Picture (Musical or Comedy) for the film Enough Said.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, she said: "I've never had this happen to me ever.
"It's sort of a head-spinning, skin-pinchy, am-I-going-to-wake-up-from-this-in-a-few-minutes kind of a feeling. It really doesn't feel real."
She added: "At the same time, it's nice to have been around the block a few times now, in terms of this business, to know it's a bit of a miracle.
"So I'm not taking it for granted. I'm out of my mind with happiness about it. I really am."
The actress said: "These characters are so completely different from one another. I'm really thrilled for that reason. And I have to say, it speaks to the writing for both parts. Both Veep and Enough Said are projects that are artfully written and executed.
"It takes an enormous amount of talent to put these projects together, and thank God for [Enough Said director] Nicole Holofcener and thank God for [Veep creator] Armando Iannucci. Without them, none of this would have happened, and I really mean that."
The 71st Golden Globes will take place on Sunday, January 12, 2014.
