Biffy Clyro want to rock into their 50s

Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro would like to keep performing and releasing music when they are in their 50s.

Frontman Simon Neil told the Daily Star that they hope to build on their successes this year and named 2013 as their best year so far.

"Dare I say it's been our best year as a band so far? I guess we're almost the exception for any band in that we've been building things up and our sixth album has been our biggest record. It's been an incredible year because we're kinda glass-half-full guys and always quite cynical and expect things to fall apart any minute."

Neil added that Biffy have no plans to stop doing what they love, "When I was 19/20 I thought, 'How can you be in a rock band in your 30s?' But now I'm in my 30s, I want to be in a rock band until my 50s. If Nick Cave can do it, then so can I."
