Tom Cruise is eager to make a sequel to his 2012 thriller, Jack Reacher, based on the novels of Lee Child.
Paramount and Skydance Productions have teamed up to put a new movie in development based on the novel Never Go Back, says The Hollywood Reporter.
Cruise is set to reprise his role as a former military police officer as the production company is scouting for a writer to pen the screenplay.
There are 18 books to date in the Reacher series and Never Go Back sees Reacher on the run after facing trumped up charges.
The first film is reported to have made $218million worldwide on a budget of $60million.
