Grand Theft Auto V named game of the year

Grand Theft Auto V was named game of the year at Spike's VGX 2013 Awards last night, beating BioShock Infinite, Super Mario 3D World, The Last of Us and Tomb Raider.

Other winners included BioShock Infinite in the Best Shooter Category, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag for Best Adventure Game, Injustice: Gods Among Us for Best Fighting Game, and NBA 2K14 in the Best Sports Game category.
