Timberlake and Jay Z lead Grammy nominations

Justin Timberlake, Jay Z , Pharrell Williams and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis lead the nominations for the 2014 Grammy Awards.

The list of nominees were announced last night (December 6) at a concert in Los Angeles and Jay Z has earned a total of nine nominations including Best Rap Performance, Best Duo/Pop Group Performance for his Suit & Tie collaboration with Timberlake and Best Rap Album for his latest Magna Carter... Holy Grail.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' The Heist is also nomination for Best Rap Album with the duo earning seven nominations in total.

Timberlake, Williams and Kendrick Lamar are also nominated in seven categories.

Performances from Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Mackelmore & Ryan Lewis and Lorde are sure to be highlights of the 56th Annual Grammy Awards which will take place on January 26, 2014 in Los Angeles.
