This year's Critics' Choice Brit award nominees are Chloe Howl, Ella Eyre and Sam Smith.

The three acts have been shortlisted for the prestigious prize which recognises future British recording talent.

18-year-old Howl, who released her first single No Strings earlier this year, is set to release her debut album in 2014

Eyre is releasing her own single Deeper on December 15, having provided vocals on Rudimental's number one Waiting All Night.

Lastly, nominee Smith worked with Naughty Boy on the number one La La La in May, and he recently unveiled his first solo single Money On My Mind, which is scheduled to be released on February 16.

The winner of the 2013 Critics Choice Brit award will be announced on December 12.
