Joanna Lumley has opened up about a possible Absolutely Fabulous film, saying that she thinks it will go ahead.
When appearing on The Jonathan Ross Show, she was asked if writer and co-star Jennifer Saunders had an idea for a big-screen adaptation.
Lumley said: "Yes. She has the idea. I think with a little bit of, not too painful, pressure, a little bit of vice-like grip and a Chinese burn on the arm, up behind her back, she always needs a little bit of urging.
"I think it'll happen. Jennifer tends to work to deadlines, so we've got to create a deadline and then get her there."
However, the actress was less forthcoming on plot teasers, when asked to share some she said: "No, I can't. I can't, it would be so wrong. And then she'd go back into this camel state she sometimes lives in.
"I don't mean literally, what I mean is she goes into this sphinx area where she just won't speak again. So I won't tell you anything about it. But I think it's always time to goad her along by saying, 'Yes, we will do it. Yes, it's going to be written, and it's going to be fabulous'".
