Bieber: a brush with the law

Justin Bieber's descent into rock `n' roll debauchery continues with news that the pop star has been charged with defacing a building in Rio.

The Canadian could be fined after pictures published in local media appeared to show him painting a wall, reports BBC news.

Brazil's civil police force said Bieber had been charged with "defacing a building or urban monument by graffiti or other means".

However, officials described the case involving  Bieber as "a minor offence"

Media published photos appearing to show the 19-year-old spraying graffiti on the wall of the abandoned Hotel Nacional.

It emerged that Bieber had authorisation from the City Hall to paint at a sports facility nearby, but members of his entourage claim he chose a different location to avoid his fans.

It's already been quite a trip to Rio for Biebs. He has been accused of swearing at photographers and was kicked out of Rio's most prestigious hotel.
