More Marvel TV shows are on the way

Clark Gregg's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. looks like it's knocking the TV door down for Marvel

Looks like Marvel are aiming to dominate the small screen as much as they've taken over the cineplexes in recent years.

According to Deadline, Marvel is working on four new shows as well as a miniseries and seeking TV homes for the projects, with Netflix, Amazon and WGN America all rumoured as potential buyers.

In the wake of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. receiving a full season order by ABC after getting huge premiere ratings and strong follow-up figures, the comic book empire seems utterly bankable.

Marvel is also reportedly looking at developing a series based around Hayley Atwell's Captain America character Agent Peggy Carter as well as a short film called Agent Carter.

Atwell has already been confirmed as playing Carter in the film's 2014 sequel, Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. continues on Sundays on RTÉ Two.
