Music mogul Simon Cowell has revealed that he wants The X Factor USA to have a wildcard twist.
Taking to his Twitter page, the 54-year-old star hinted at the move after last night's four chair challenge episode, which saw Paulina Rubio making an unexpected decision.
Simon wrote: "You never let great talent go. Pauline's top 4 would not have been my top 4."
Cowell then proceeded to ask his 8,457,081 followers if they would like a wildcard twist, stating: "If we did this. You guys not us would make the decision. Will keep you posted. I would love it to happen."
He added: "I will do my best to make it happen. And you will choose the person or group you want as your wild card pick... Reading your comments tonight made me realise we should do this. It seems like the fairest thing to do."
The X Factor judge later hinted that the twist was arranging admitting that it "all got sorted."
He further tweeted: "I think you will enjoy the show. Thanks for all your comments. Both the bad and the good."
Simon recently invited Sinead O’Connor to be a guest judge on X Factor.
