Dubliner Melanie McCabe is one of 24 hopefuls to have made it through to the judges' houses stage of The X Factor.
McCabe, who is making her fourth appearance in the contest, won over the judges with her cover of Katy Perry's The One that Got Away.
McCabe, Hannah Barrett and Abi Alton made it through at the expense of three other singers: Sheena McHugh, Karen Harding and Lydia Lucy.
Gary Barlow told McCabe: "You had me from the very first lyric and I think you're the one who got away. I want Nicole [Scherzinger, fellow judge] to give you a chance."
Scherzinger added: "In your past performances I didn’t know if I was with you, if I felt it or if I believed it, but you had me on this one."
Also through to the judges' houses part of the show is Andrea Magee from Belfast.
For the judges' houses section of the show, Nicole Scherzinger (girls category) will be helped by Mary J Blige; Gary Barlow (groups category) will be joined by Olly Murs; Sharon Osbourne (over 25s category) will work with Robbie Williams, while Louis Walsh (boys category) will decide on his contestants with Nicole Appleton, Shane Filan and Sinitta.
