Frasier star Kelsey Grammer is set to join the third instalment of Sylvester Stallone's action packed franchise.
The 58-year-old star is being lined up to play the part of ex-mercenary Bonaparte, which was originally intended to be played by Nicolas Cage, according to Deadline.
Grammer, who will also star as the villain in Transformers: Age Of Extinction, joins Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham and Mel Gibson on Expendables.
The third film, to be directed by Patrick Hughes, will reportedly feature a younger group of action heroes who clash with the older generation before eventually coming together and saving the day.
The Expendables 3 will be released on August 15, 2014.
