Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry and executive producer Eva Longoria’s hit US series Devious Maids will premiere on UK satellite channel TLC in October.
Already commissioned for a second season, Devious Maids is the fastest growing drama on US network Lifetime and centres on a close-knit group of maids working in the homes of Beverly Hills’ wealthiest and most powerful families.
The 13-part first season – based on a Mexican Telenova - sees the women come together to uncover the truth when their friend and fellow maid is murdered at the home of her employers.
Devious Maids stars Ana Ortiz (Ugly Betty), Roselyn Sánchez (Without a Trace, Rush Hour 2), Dania Ramirez (Entourage, X-Men: The Last Stand) and Judy Reyes (Scrubs).
In the pilot episode the maids turn to one another for support when their friend and fellow maid Flora is brutally murdered at the home of her employers, the shallow and secretive Evelyn and Adrian Powell.
