If you are unable to attend Culture Night 2013, you can tune to RTÉ Radio 1's live three-hour special programme to find out what's happening.
Speaking to RTÉ TEN, presenter of Radio 1's arts show Arena Seán Rocks said: "Culture Night for me is the night to try out something you haven't done before.
"It can be intimidating to go to a theatre or a concert hall or a gallery or an arts centre for the first time; I know there was a time when I was intimidated by all of those places, afraid I might make a fool of myself by saying or doing the wrong thing.
"On Friday [September] 20 you can go along with no fear and simply see what goes on there - once the ice is broken you'll find out you didn't need to be intimidated and a whole new world will be yours to enjoy.
"And now that the night has become a nationwide event it's even easier and it's all free.
"In fact if you can't make it into Meeting House Square to be part of Arena's special three-hour long Culture Night broadcast you can listen from anywhere on the planet!"
In addition to coverage of numerous arts events live from Meeting House Square in Dublin's Temple Bar as part of Culture Night, Arena will also broadcast a specially commissioned performance by the RTÉ Concert Orchestra.
