X Factor Dubliner shares home pain

McCabe - "I just want something good to happen"

Dubliner Melanie McCabe will share the worries her family are living through on tonight's episode of The X Factor.

McCabe, who has tried out for the show three times in the past and made it to the judges' houses part of the competition in 2011, says that this year is "definitely my last time".

She says: "I think it's the only thing I've ever been good at. I feel like the person I'm supposed to be when I sing. I can't even put it in into words how much today means for me; it could significantly change my life and my family's life."

She continues: "My family have been so supportive of me over the years. We don't really have a lot of money, like as I'm sure most families don't, but we're losing our house at the moment and I'm kind of at this point in my life when I feel like everything is falling down around me and I just want something good to happen."
