It looks as though comic actor Danny McBride is about to become something of a saviour for Lindsay Lohan.

The 27-year-old is guest-starring on an upcoming episode of McBride's HBO comedy Eastbound & Down, but he is reportedly hoping to continue their professional partnership.

According to TMZ, McBride was so impressed with Lohan's work on Eastbound & Down (in which she played his character's daughter) that he wants to develop a pilot as a star vehicle for her.

TMZ reports that McBride has teamed up with his producing partner, Jody Hill, to create a high school comedy for the troubled Lohan, who is believed to love the idea.

Lohan recently completed a mandatory 90-day stint in rehab and told Oprah Winfrey in a televised interview that her main focus is staying sober and getting her acting career back on track.
