It has been announced the episode of Glee which deals with the departure of Cory Monteith from the series will address some of the issues surrounding the actor’s own death.
The actor was found dead in a hotel room in Canada last month from a heroin and alcohol overdose.
The announcement was made by Fox president Kevin Reilly who was speaking at the Television Critics Association summer press tour yesterday.
He said about the episode which will see Finn Hudson (Monteith) written out “That episode will deal with the incidents directly involved with Cory's passing, [including] drug use."
The episode is also set to feature drugs-related public service announcements from Glee Co-creator Ryan Murphy as well as his cast-mates, reports Digital Spy.
Reilly also said the show is unlikely to continue after two more seasons. He told The Hollywood Reporter "I would not anticipate it goes beyond two more seasons" but adding "never say never."
He continued "There's two very clear arcs to get to that end and conclude. Listen, if we discover a new crop of kids and there's some breakout, who knows? But right now we're thinking about two seasons."
