The Strokes guitar duo Nick Valensi and Albert Hammond, Jr, Fran Healy of Travis, and Gavin Friday are among the guests who will be playing and speaking at the upcoming Dylan Fest in Dublin this August.

The event, which is sponsored by Jameson, comes to The Academy on August 9th and marks the first overseas show for American organisers Best Fest, who have previously held Stones Fest, Petty Fest and Bowie Fest which were attended by the likes of Kings of Leon, the Black Keys, Perry Farrell, Johnny Depp, Kesha, and Norah Jones.

Bell X1’s Paul Noonan, Gemma Hayes, Boz Scaggs, Jape, Conor and Neil Adams from Cast of Cheers, Butch Walker, James Vincent McMorrow, Heathers, Cathy Davey, Ruby Amanfu and Jerry Fish will all perform Bob Dylan songs with the house band.

Tickets cost €25 and are on sale now from Ticketmaster with 100% of all sale proceeds going to Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, which has been offering vital assistance to professional musical artists in need since 1994.
