There's something un-Earthly about new sitcom The Neighbors

A brand new American sitcom that’s out of this world begins tonight (July 16) on RTÉ Two as a family find out they're living in a community populated by aliens.

The Neighbors stars Lenny Venito (The Sopranos) as Marty Weaver, a family man who just wants the best for his wife, Debbie (Jami Gertz), and their three kids.

That’s why he’s moving them to Hidden Hills, a gated community in New Jersey that’s complete with its own golf course. Marty is certain that their new home will be a dream come true.

Then they meet the neighbours. They’re aliens from the planet Zabvron - and the Weavers are the first humans they’ve ever encountered because everyone else in Hidden Hills is alien too.

At first the Weavers are ready to cut and run. But the aliens seem harmless enough - and there is a lot of closet space. So they decide to stay and help their new neighbours adapt to life on this planet.

The Neighbors is on Tuesdays at 7.30pm on RTÉ Two.
