Coronation Street star Katy Cavanagh and her filmmaker husband Chris Jupe have welcomed their third child together.
The actress, who plays Julie Carp on the soap, gave birth to son Jacobi at home, reports The Sun.
Cavanagh used Independent Midwives UK, a company that operates separately from the NSH, to help deliver the baby boy at her home.
The actress has spoken out in favour of independent midwives after being impressed by the service.
Cavanagh said: "It's vital women have a choice of who cares for them during pregnancy and birth.
"I have nothing but praise for the NHS but they were unable to provide me with a known midwife or guarantee the birth of my choice."
Corrie fans have not seen Julie for months after she was written out of the storyline when Cavanagh became pregnant.
